Casa C is a single-family residence set on a plot overlooking a contemplative landscape in Cascais. The concept is defined by an embracing form that frames the surrounding scenery through a curved geometry, allowing the exterior landscape to “open” into the interior and creating a continuous spatial relationship between both. Two lateral patios generate distinct microclimates, enclosed by circular columns that establish a permeablerhythm along the east and west elevations. This rhythm contrasts with the abstract expression of the solid white volume that defines the main façade.

The project unfolds over two floors. The ground level accommodates the social areas, organised through a sequence of perspectival framings created by the lateral patios, gradually preparing the visitor for the expansive view revealed in the living room. This path is shaped by light — filtered and modelled through the patios and the metric repetition of exterior columns.

The upper floor contains the private areas, arranged around three bedrooms. Each room receives natural light from two directions, through the patios and the contemplative openings on the main façade.

Casa C is defined by the simplicity of its white volume and the permeable rhythm of its white columns, integrating the house into the landscape through its enveloping form. Inside, spatial sequences emerge from the interplay between the patios, the controlled entrances of light, and the contrast between enclosed and open moments.
